Jennifer Styers started her career in training animals the natural way, following in her fathers footsteps.  Her Dad was/is a marine mammal trainer/specialist for over 35 years now.  Jennifer grew up hanging out at the Aquariums and training facilities as long as she can remember.

During the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska in 1989, her Dad was in charge of the wildlife rescue.  She hung out at the rehabilitation facility and helped take care of the orphaned sea otter pups that came in.  In 1998 she accompanied her Dad to Iceland.  There she helped in the construction and deployment of the "Free Willy" Keiko seapen that housed Keiko (Free Willy the Killer Whale).  In 1999 she spent 7 weeks volunteering at the Marine Mammal Center, in the San Francisco area, where she helped to rehabilitate elephant seals, harbor seals, sea lions and a sea otter.   In 2000 Jennifer moved to Thailand and was one of three dolphin trainers hired at a new dolphin research facility.
In late 2003 Jenn returned to the USA and began her career in dog training.   Using her behavioral skills with marine mammals was a natural adjustment.  In 2005 she graduated, with honors, from the Animal Behavior College and went out looking for her dream job.  In June of 2005 she was hired by J. Wendel with Pacific Coast K-9 as a dog trainer trainee where she spent 5 months under him and his trainers.  Was promoted to Certified Dog Trainer with them in November of 2005, then promoted to Head Trainer and Manager of Seacrest Kennels in Feb. 2007.

Although she enjoyed the "advancement", it took away from her real love, training.  So she went out on her own and started Jenns “Family Pack” Dog Training in 2008.  She soon realized that she wanted to do more for the dog community and in her profession so she started Canine Wellness Center.

KT Hart or "Kat" began showing dogs and horses very early on.  At the age of 13,  she took a "hands on" birds of prey class at Coyote Point in Northern California.  There she learned the care and feeding of injured and abandoned birds of prey and also had the opportunity to work with other wildlife they had in their care. One very special animal in particular  named "Otie" touched her heart.  "Otie" was a 16 year old coyote that didn't like anyone; except Kat.  Kat spent hours just massaging her back and neck through the bars of the cage and talking with her.  Kat knew then that her life's work would include working with all types of animals.

She continued successfully showing horses in the hunter/jumper world and dogs in obedience, field trial, conformation, schutzhund, and even dabbled in herding!

While in her late teens, she attended a professional dog training institute where she became a professional dog trainer and started teaching classes and private lessons.

Years later Kat began working for an animal company in Southern California who provided animals for the Movies. A short time later in 1990 she founded Hollywood Animal Stars.  She worked on numerous commercials such as Kibbles 'N Bits, Jonny Cat, Kodak, Several Disney Commercials with Micheal Eisner for the Disney Channel, Dole Juice, Hoover, Acura, Toyota, Hasbro, Walgreens, Folgers Coffee, Jeep Eagle, etc, etc, Television shows such as Dark Angel, Murder She Wrote, Disney, G.L.O.W.(Internationally Syndicated Show),Entertainment Tonight, HBO, CBS This Morning, The Home Show, Cinemax, Sister Kate, Mr. Belvedere, etc,  and movies such as MGM's Good Boy,  Disney's Homeward Bound,  Iron Will,  White Fang II, Dog's Best Friend,  Mono Must Die,  Power Play,  Avalanche (with David Hasslehoff), several M.O.W.s, etc... She also did live performances such as the Calgary Stampede, various theater, several school programs, etc...

Kat joined Canine Wellness Center in March of 2010 and offers the Hollywood Tricks Classes and soon will offer Off-Leash Advance Obedience Classes...
